Short answer: a card statement shows the merchant name, not the product. OPENAI *CHATGPT SUBSCR is a ChatGPT web subscription (Plus, Pro and Go all use it), OPENAI* CHATGPT CREDIT is ChatGPT credits, and OPENAI SAN FRANCISCO is the OpenAI API. ANTHROPIC* CLAUDE SUB is a claude.ai subscription and ANTHROPIC SAN FRANCISCO is Claude API credits. GROK XAI PALO ALTO is a grok.com subscription. Names that start with GOOGLE followed by ChatGPT, Claude or Grok were bought in the Android app and are billed by Google Play. Once you know which one it is, you know where to cancel or change the card.
Written by the Pink Card team (pinkcard.cc). Merchant names and counts come from cards we issued, 2026-08-01 to 2026-10-31 (UTC): 342 cards, 1,132 AI-related records, 539 successful charges totalling $26,064.29, with no customer details. App-store billing rules are from the Claude Help Center and the Google Play and Apple support pages, checked on 2026-10-31 (PT). The exact spelling can vary by card network and over time; your own transaction record is what counts.
OpenAI: three names, three places to manage them
- OPENAI *CHATGPT SUBSCR SAN FRANCISCO: ChatGPT web subscription. 220 successful charges in 3 months, 174 cards with records, $12,407.99. Since late September a second spelling, OPENAI* CHATGPT SUBSCR (asterisk moved), shows up for the same kind of charge, and a few are OPENAI *CHATGPT SUBSCR DUBLIN (the Irish entity, billed in euros or Danish kroner). 9 cards saw two spellings in 3 months; that is not a second subscription.
- OPENAI* CHATGPT CREDIT: ChatGPT credits (the top-up you buy when Codex usage runs out), charged separately from the plan. 52 successful charges on 27 cards, $1,329.08; 23 were billed in pesos, kroner, pounds, yen or other currencies, so the dollar amount is rarely round.
- OPENAI SAN FRANCISCO (no asterisk, no CHATGPT): the OpenAI API, managed under Billing at platform.openai.com, separate from your ChatGPT plan. 43 successful charges, 41 cards with records, $1,564.30.
- 27 cards had two or more of these three OpenAI types. Two OpenAI charges on the same day are often two different things; compare the merchant names first.
Anthropic: subscription and API are separate
- ANTHROPIC* CLAUDE SUB SAN FRANCISCO: claude.ai Pro or Max, managed in Settings → Billing. 43 successful charges, $5,196.58, all in US dollars; also 50 declines and 18 reversals.
- ANTHROPIC SAN FRANCISCO (no CLAUDE SUB): Claude API credits, managed under Billing in the Claude Console. 6 successful charges, $286.04.
- ANTHROPIC* CLAUDE TEAM and ANTHROPIC* TEAM T1: Claude Team, charged per seat in one payment. Only one of our cards in 3 months: 6 declines and 1 reversal.
xAI (Grok) and X
- GROK XAI PALO ALTO: grok.com subscription (SuperGrok and others), managed in your grok.com account. 125 successful charges, 87 cards with records, $3,358.68; 27 billed in Hong Kong dollars, yen, yuan or other currencies.
- X CORP. PAID FEATURES BASTROP: paid features on X, such as Premium, managed in X settings. 5 successful charges.
- X DEVELOPER PLATFORM BASTROP: X API credits, managed in the X developer console. 2 successful charges.
Names starting with GOOGLE: usually bought in an Android app
- GOOGLE *ChatGPT, GOOGLE*CHATGPT, Google ChatGPT SINGAPORE: ChatGPT bought in the Android app, billed by Google Play. 11 successful charges, $408.02.
- GOOGLE *Claude by Anth, GOOGLE*CLAUDE BY ANTH: Claude bought in the Android app. 8 records on 3 cards, none successful (7 declined, 1 reversed).
- GOOGLE *Grok AI, GOOGLE *Grok, Google Grok Bot: Grok bought in the Android app. 8 successful charges, $119.41.
- GOOGLE *Google One, Google One Mountain View, GOOGLE*GOOGLE ONE TOKYO: Google One, which also carries the paid Gemini plans such as Google AI Pro. 13 successful, 34 declined.
- GOOGLE *CLOUD followed by a 6-character code: a Google Cloud bill (Gemini API included). 6 successful charges.
- GOOGLE* followed by 3 characters and 6 digits (for example GOOGLE*ABC 123456): a temporary charge Google makes to verify a payment method; the 6 digits are the code, not a subscription. 33 records on 17 of our cards, none successful; every decline was a restricted merchant category.
Cursor and Apple
- CURSOR, AI POWERED IDE SAN FRANCISCO: a Cursor plan or prepaid usage; the name does not say monthly, yearly or usage. 4 successful charges, $915.07.
- CURSOR SAN FRANCISCO: all 4 records with this spelling were “Blocked”, charges on cards that could no longer be used.
- APPLE.COM/US: something bought in an iPhone app, billed by your Apple account. The statement only says Apple; check Settings → your name → Subscriptions on the iPhone.
A charge you do not recognize: check in this order
- Match the merchant name to the table above: which company, and which type (subscription, credits, API, app store).
- Match amount and date on that platform’s billing page: Billing in ChatGPT or Claude web settings, the developer console for an API, or the subscription list in Google Play or your Apple account. Odd cents usually mean tax or a foreign currency.
- Check the status. “Reversed” means the money went back to the card, not a double charge. A declined charge took no plan fee, though our cards charge $1 per attempt, declined ones included.
- Still not yours: contact that platform’s support with the merchant name, amount and time. Our support can also go through the card’s transaction history with you.
Retiring a card? Cancel or switch on the platform first
In 3 months, 59 ChatGPT web subscription charges on 44 of our cards were declined as “Blocked”, and Cursor, Google One and Grok had the same: the card could no longer be used but the subscription kept billing it. Before you stop using a card, find the platform from the merchant name and cancel or change the card there; for app-store billing, cancel in the Google Play or Apple subscription list.

Top up the same card
- Open pinkcard.cc/en, click “Balance & Top Up” at the top, and enter the 16-digit card number and the 3-digit lookup code (the card’s CVV). The same page shows the card’s transactions with these merchant names.
- Choose an amount (minimum $30) and pay with USDT on ERC-20 or BEP-20, USDC on ERC-20, or Alipay.
- Top-up cost: $5 plus 5% of (top-up amount + $5). $30 → $36.75, $110 → $120.75.
- Usually on the card within 5–10 minutes. The card number does not change, so nothing needs to be re-added on any platform.
